We all have Scars
The Scars You Can’t See….seemed like a perfect title for the book. After all, I knew I would have physical scars and I expected that. I didn’t think about the scars that would be inside me. The scars in my mind that required emotional, and spiritual healing to make me whole again.
I realized that there was a reason we all had a unique fingerprint, as god intended for us to have our own story, and our own scars. We are unique and yet so intertwined by the joys and sorrows of life as human beings. Together, we help share in the sorrow and we celebrate the joys.
Life is a rollercoaster ride for sure. When you embrace it you buckle up for the emotions of the highs and lows of the rollercoaster ride. You can’t have one with the other, is what I learned. You don’t get a life with just the highs. You must also be willing to have the lows. The choice we have is how we process it, how we pass through it, and how we heal ourselves to continue living our best life. Life reckons with us all and we all face tragedy at some point or another.
I learned to not question god, his timing or his reasoning. I don’t need to know all the answers, that is where my faith comes in. Someday I will ask in heaven with a glass of wine. Until then, I do know even Jesus had scars before his death, so why wouldn’t I?
